Assalamualaikum wbt and konbanwa minasan :)
Last Saturday and Sunday, I went to a symposium conducted at Nilai Uni College (NUC). The purpose of this program is to open up youth's mind regarding the reality of what happened around the world. The two days program were mostly attended by the students of NUC with only few from other universities. Six of us are representatives for the University as NUC collaborated with UPM in implementation of the program.
This is last year's banner. Couldn't search for this year's
Well I guess only the first day and few slots relatively to the term 'Symposium' as other than that was just a training for students to conduct a program. The other colleague of mine were talking regarding this during most of the break, giving comments about it since actually we say UPM students are expert on this. Not to say we were unhappy, but they have misused the term 'symposium' making most of us to agree upon attending the program.
Syukur alhamdulillah for the experiences gained during the program. I managed to have a discussion with a group consist of international students from many different countries (unlike UPM with mostly international students from the middle east and studying for master), to receive inputs from other people's thoughts and so on. We were divided into several groups of students with a Lecturer Facilitator (LF) as our guider. We happened to have an LF (miss Shima her name) that is still pursuing her master in UPM.
Lastly, from one of the topics discussed, remember that there are people out there wishing to have a life like ours. They live in poverty, wishing to have five times meal a day while they don't even know whether tomorrow brings them any food. Be thankful, syukur kepada Allah swt dgn apa yg kita ada, berdoa untuk mereka dan sekiranya berkesempatan dan mampu, bersedekahlah insyaAllah. This is also a good motivation for our heart. Sometimes we are craving for something unnecessarily. But try to look at those who don't have any. subhanAllah.
Until then :) Assalamualaikum wbt
